“I am employed by the History Center in Tompkins County as an 1892 schoolmarm for the Eight Square Schoolhouse. In collaboration with Kids Discover the Trail, the Ithaca City School District provides a day at the historic schoolhouse for every fourth-grade class. It's a unique program that has been part of the Tompkins County experience since the 1970s. I love being a schoolmarm and spending a day in the past with kids. I'm so lucky to have this job!.”
