“The Dryden house was in my husband, Randy Shew’s family for over 50 years, so I spent many pleasant hours there and we and some grandchildren called it home at different times. The furniture store was very popular in the county and I often have people tell me that still have loved items purchased there. Drydenites call it the “Bee Hive” because of the inclusion of five apartments. It was built in 1860 and was the home of the first Dryden Library. ”
