“Combined, Cornell’s Office of Community Relations’ team has more than 100 “Cornell Years” of experience, and the majority of us are Finger Lakes natives. Our work takes us to every corner of Tompkins County, in addition to other initiatives that celebrate the spirit of Cornell and community statewide. Our office prioritizes partnerships and outreach in a number of ways, including a weekly radio show, “All Things Equal,” and a twice-monthly newspaper column “East Hill Notes.” Our work tied to quality-of-life issues including sustainability, transportation, affordable housing, public schools, infrastructure, and equity, is reflected in our service on several area non-profit boards. The Lab of Ornithology - one stop on Ithaca’s wonderful “Discovery Trail” - is one of our favorite places, where people from all walks of life enjoy a unique local resource, and experience the beautiful nature that surrounds us.”
