“In 2015 I collaborated with blacksmith Durand Van Doren to design and build a memorial bench in memory of my wife, Martha Ullberg. It reflects a quilt she designed. The bench was funded by the GEMM Shop in Trumansburg where she volunteered. The bench is in front of Tompkins Trust. Each winter it is stored at my house where I refinish the wood seat.”
