“The Freeville United Methodist Church has been an integral part of the Freeville community for nearly 175 years, having been founded in 1848. In 1891, the original church building was moved across the road and about a quarter mile east along Main Street to its present location. Shortly after the move, the bell tower and a new entryway were added to the original structure, and other additions were built in the mid-1900s.”
